Togetherness is a project about strengthening our resilience. The result is a jacket that can be separated into three individual jackets – the resilience is strengthened through togetherness.
The main jacket consists of three jackets based on one and the same sewing pattern. Using zips and buttons, the three jackets are combined into one jacket. The oversized hood and sleeves of the combined jacket make the silhouette appear larger than it is, thereby strengthening the wearer's resilience.
The hood can be removed by opening a zip, and by opening two more zips, the same hood becomes an additional jacket. The oversized sleeves each consist of half a jacket, which can be removed from the original garment by opening zips on each of the sleeves and assembled to form a third jacket. One large garment has been transformed into three simple garments, which now strengthen the wearer's resilience through togetherness.
Hand in hand, we are resilient.
