work.where is a caricature of the working world, where overtime is expected and burnouts are increasingly part of normal working life. We work in order to live. Do we live to work? With more and more people working from home, the world of work is now flowing more into the private spaces of life. work.where takes the concept of mobile work to the extreme. Whether it is in the coffee or bathroom queue — this piece allows you to work in every spare moment of your day.
work.where connects the work space with the personal space – the body. A tabletop is sewn to the front of the dress, consisting of a lightweight foam board. This makes the dress light, but the table stable enough to support a laptop. For working, the table can be folded down and stability is ensured by a strap around the neck. At the back of the dress there is a pocket in which a laptop can be carried. Through the skirt of the dress, which becomes a tablecloth, the table merges with the body. This creates a connection between body and architecture.
